How radio frequency works in skin/body care?

- Jan 27, 2018 -

Radio-frequency machines produce radio waves. These radio waves heat up the collagen in the dermis and subcutaneous fat (fat under skin). Heat produced by radio-frequency contracts (shrinks) collagen in dermis and also stimulates collagen production. New collagen produced this way removes the wrinkles and lines and cellulitis. The affect following this treatment is visible immediately and continues to improve for several months; it can be used on face, abdomen, buttocks and legs to stimulate collagen production. The RF energy penetrates the skin layers
to selectively heat the skin tissue and the extra-cellular matrix (ECM) where the Collagen fibers
are fixed. The local heating causes an immediate contraction of the collagen fibers and at the same time increases the metabolism of the Fibroblasts thereby accelerating the production of new Collagen and Elastic fibers. The contraction of Collagen fibers and the regeneration of the Collagen and Elastin deposits, tighten the skin layers creating smoother, healthier and younger looking skin.
